For a new twist this year, thought I’d pair some BTS photos with the final result!

So many dresses would have gone un-fluffed without my girl Alex.

My lovely friend Danielle stepped in for Alex when she couldn’t come to Erica and Chase’s wedding! She killed it.

Below: Alex doing work, me wondering when the next snack break will be.

Babysitting the photographer’s daughter/flower girl: not (usually) in her job description but done with a big smile anyway. SHE’S THE BEST.

Varying your facial expressions to keep light testing not boring is an important skill that I look for when hiring.

Note: I would not hire myself based on this qualification.

Alex and I were both also guests at our last wedding this year and it was THE BEST to finally be on the dance floor together. I promise I enjoyed it.

I always tell brides that I’m there to photograph their wedding, but also to help them look awesome all day. This involves a lot of dress and veil fluffing.

Almost all of my 2017 brides got to meet my WONDERFUL assistant Alex. She fluffs too.

She’s also the victim of most of my light testing, which she does with a smile.

Except when she doesn’t want to smile anymore.

This is me chastising her for not modeling with a smile.

Just kidding. She literally never needs to be chastised and has this attitude 400% of the time.

Sometimes I make other people test too.

Sometimes with Alex.

It takes a lot of people to get babies’ attention.

I got to meet Tyrion! He did excellently.

Photographer-ing is hard.

I probably don’t need to tell you about my love of veils. And getting under them with couples.

But sometimes they don’t do what we want ;)

And sometimes I make suggestions my brides hate. ;)

Got to photograph two college friends’ weddings this year and step into the Invisibooth with friends (and husband)!

Team ADP will almost always make an appearance in your Invisibooth gallery.

Also, Stephen & Alyssa, who often run the booth for me, like to hop in when people accidentally leave before their three-photo series is done. It’s the best.

Hello little baby bump! It is not this little anymore.

Anybody who follows me even a little is probably familiar with my excitement with veils.

This one does not properly convey my excitement.

Much better.

I worked with so many great vendors, assistants, and second shooters this year!

Here is very pregnant Autumn shielding the bride from very intense rain. Rockstar.

So, so much light testing was done.

Cannot tell you how many times people have accused us of just taking photos of each other for fun. We’re working, I promise!! Also almost none of these ever come out that flattering, so there’s that.

Here is poor Brittani two seconds after someone hollered into her ear about cake cutting. Weddings with me, so fun!

Preeeetty sure this is Aaren catching me snacking from my snack bag. I mean camera bag.

THAT TIME TIM AND ERIN HAD ICE CREAM AT THEIR WEDDING AND MADE US HAVE SOME. Gold star clients. And ice cream.

Oh and you’re DEFINITELY going to get some unfortunate ones of me too ;)
